new job - it does happen!
so, after two years of unemployment and six months of temping, i was finally offered a permanent job at this place where i am temping! that job also was the reason I was offered another job at a different company b/c someone i work with at the temp place worked with someone i was intervieiwng with, and she gave me glowing recommendation.
I am not sharing this to be braggy, but to just show that even if it seems like things are not turning around, they will! so keep trying and hoping and do your best to stay positive.
Lots of luck to everyone who is searching for a job. it's not easy.

congrats!!!! That is great news! I'm currently on 2 1/2 months of unemployment and so upset about it, it's good to hear that things do eventually work out. Congrats again!

thanks everyone, i truly appreciate your good wishes and am thinking of everyone who is still looking, or have recently lost their jobs.
it is not easy, but you may find, as I did, that something good will come out of it. I found a wonderful dept of people who work together as a team and truly support one another. it is really refreshing and pleasant. i also have a greater appreciation for things i took for granted before. plus, i am MUCH better about managing my money and even learned to cook.
