Anyone have a betta fish?
I have mine in a small tank at home. Since I live on the top floor of a house it gets awfully hot up there. I'm really worried about the little guy. What should I do?

Awww that is hot for him but it is a tropical fish so he should be ok. You can try to add an ice cube every hour. No air conditioning in his room huh?

Re: Anyone have a betta fish?
Do you have a thermometer in the tank that can set your mind at ease? According to this Bettas love warm water up to around 86 degrees:
Although many fish keepers are aware that Bettas come from shallow waters, a key factor that is often overlooked is the water temperature. These countries are tropical, which means the water temperature is quite warm - often reaching into the 80's. Bettas thrive on heat, and will become increasingly listless when the water temperature falls below 75 degrees F.

Re: Anyone have a betta fish?
Well I moved him into my bedroom this morning and closed the door since the AC was on all night. I figured it would be cooler than the other rooms. I just hope it doesnt go over 90 degrees.
