Am I supposed to feel this way?

On my new diet plan (made by me, not a nutritionist or anything like that), I am eating 1400-1500 calories a day, and spreading them out over the day. But I just feel like I'm eating ALL the time!

For breakfast I had an egg and skim milk cheese on a fiber one english muffin

After my workout I had 1/2 TB peanut butter on a fiber one bar

For lunch I had a 100 calorie flatbread and a homemade greek salad, plus a laughing cow cheese and 10 grapes

Now it is time for my snack--2 TB hummus with special k cracker chips

Dinner will be chicken fahitas on wheat tortilas and a side of squash and zucchini.

Does this sound right, or too much? It all added up to 1400 calories. It just seems like a lot to me.

YES you are supposed to feel this way. The idea is to keep your metabolism woking efficiently. Frequent meals also helps to prevent binging on high calorie snacks b/c you are starving.

I eat 5 times a day too, and I also feel like I'm constantly eating. I imagine my coworkers think I eat all the time too, since I almost always have some sort of snack at my desk Chat Icon

Thanks, everyone! I was supposed to wait until Friday to weigh myself so I only do it once a week. But I broke down and weighed myself today. I lost 0.5 lbs from last Friday. So to ensure I lose a lb this week, I'm going to increase my cardio by 30 mins so that I'm doing an hour of cardio the next two days. I think my diet is pretty good and now if I increase intensity it has to be on the exercise end of things.

That actually sounds very healthy! Although you eat every few hrs, all in all, it is very little, IMO - but if you feel full and satisfied, then stick with it!
