What do your kids listen to?
Super random but I may need to choregraph something for 5-10 year olds - I'm used to doing this for teens and adults and I am at a loss as to what songs I should use to work with kids!
Favorite song names or groups, whatever you got, I appreciate anything you can share! Thanks!

Hmmm my kids listen to a lot of the songs on the radio but not all bc I feel some are little too inappropriate (example rhianna's S&M)
To name a few...
They love firework from Katie perry.

My dd is 6. She is OBSESSED with Katy Perry's Firework and would listen to it on repeat all the time if I'd let her. She talks about how she and some of her friends sing it at school together (it must drive her teacher insane!) She also still likes to listen to Taylor Swift - Today was a fairytale, Love Story, Fifteen, You Belong with me....
There is a boy in her class who sings Justin Beiber's Baby to the girls every day. 
At a recent assembly at her elementary school they played a bunch of songs and pretty much every kid got up and was singing/screaming along to Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling.
My ds is 4 and has started to recite the opening line to Ke$ha's Tic Toc a lot - one of the other boys in his class says it EVERY DAY when he walks in the class.

I would check the playlists for the latest Kids Bops CDs. They cater to that age range.

Fantastic idea.
My kids are a little weird. They listen to a strange array of music - Nickleback, Tool, Jeff Buckley, Louis Armstrong, Coldplay, Pink, Arcade Fire, JayZ...

Another vote for Firework by Katy Perry- It's got a great beat, a good message, and is kid friendly. It's a great combo :)
Other than that, my kiddos listen to the Black Keys and other indie/widely unknown bands

Thanks guys. This is a great help! I had no idea that kids liked Katy Perry and Black Eyed Peas so much.
But... Kids Bop? Miranda Cosgrove? I have a lot to learn.
