Need advice on upcoming shower / bachelorette
I don't know what to do...a good friend of mine is getting married in August and I just received an invite to her bridal shower for early June and her bachelorette party which will be a dinner / dancing / limo to the city in mid-July. I'm due on July 3rd with my twins but I know I won't go 40 weeks...I'll probably have them sometime in June. As much as I would love to go to everything since she has been there for me through everything, I don't know how to RSVP. My response in needed by mid May. Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

Def skip the bach party. I just don't think you'll be able to go. For the shower, just write, "Hope to be there but will be 8 months preggo w/ twins, so we'll see." Maybe you can plan a nice dinner for her and you sometime in May?

I would def say no to the bachelorette!
For the shower, I would say I am planning on coming, but it will depend on the little ones!

Re: Need advice on upcoming shower / bachelorette
I am going through the same thing as well. A good friend of mine who has been there for all of my events is getting married in August and I am in her wedding. Her shower is May 21 and I will be 36 weeks if I go that long, I've kind of told her that if I can be there I will try but it might not be likely. That's kind of how I replied to all my events for May (2 baby showers, 1 communion and 1 bridal shower!!!). As for her bachelorette party she kind of figured and knows that it won't be possible since it's an overnight thing and I will have 2 newborns at home. It kills me because she was there for me, so I plan on taking her out to a nice dinner to hopefully make up for it.

I'm thinking the same thing. I'll be just 36 weeks the day of her shower and like you said, who knows if I'll make it that long. The bachelorette party is a definite no no although my husband thinks I should go. If I have a c-section, I don't think I'll be physically able to run around the city. I think it's a great idea to take her out to dinner to make up for it. Fortunately for us...we'll be able to enjoy the wedding!!

That's true as well, you don't know how you will actually deliver yet so for to Fire Island for 2 days to whoop it up (as much as I would LOVE to) won't be happening...but you're right we will def be able to enjoy the wedding, and I plan on it!

Re: Need advice on upcoming shower / bachelorette
No bach. party and I would go to the shower.
I had a good friend of mine, who was one of my bridesmaids, not go to my wedding, because it was a week before her due date. I told her not to go, because she lived in NJ and I didn't want her too far away from her dr. So, I think your friend will understand why you wouldn't want to go on the bach. party.
