Help- toes are going to fall off - UPDATE
So I'm in the airport in Denver, waiting to fly home. I went snowboarding and borrowed my SIL's boots which were a "little" snug... I was in PAIN by the end of the day... it's my big toes... I definitely feel like I'm going to lose the nail. It feels like when you wear shoes too tight.
My left one is THROBBING. It's been 2 days since we returned from Vail.
What can I do to relieve this? I'm going to soak my feet when I get home but right now I'm walking all funny to relieve the pain.
UPDATE- TOTALLY popped the blood blisters and already feel 1000% better. The swelling went down so much.
THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH.
lesson learned...

Re: Help- toes are going to fall off
Ugh yeah, this happened to me with a pair of too tight shoes and a drunken night walking all over NYC. When I took the polish off the whole big toenail was black and blue underneath.
I have heard that they can relieve the pressure at the Dr's office by kind of burning a small hole in the toenail and draining out some of the blood that is collecting there. Its sounds and mine stopped throbbing after a few days so I didn't have to go this route, but I heard it works.
The toenail died soon after and started falling off- or more like growing out as the new nail pushed it off. Try to keep the dead toenail on as long as possible though because it will serve as a guide for the new one to grow in- without it the new one will grow in all jacked up.

I would see a podiatrist, maybe you caused an ingrown?

I hope not b/c I have had one of those before and they are NOT FUN...
THanks to everyone for the advice & FMs... I'm going to take it easy and soak my foot as much as possible and try to make an appointment for a podiatrist as soon as I can.
I just returned from vacation so work is going to be SWAMPED>
(it was worth it though-- the snowboarding was A-MAZ-ING )
