Starting WW - key foods to have in the house?
Hi everyone, I'm starting ww shortly and wanted to get some ideas of foods to pick up to have in the house for when I start and am taking time to figure out the plan and stuff. Obviously lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats...any ideas for snacks and other items that you've found helpful (especially in the beginning?)
Thank you!

Like you said, I always have fresh fruits and veggies and lean meats.
As far as other "essential" items (for me): Chobani or Fage greek yogurt WW string cheeses cheerios brown rice light whole wheat bread sweet potatos progresso light soups tuna light or fat free mayo egg beaters egg whites
For my sweet tooth: Jello Mouse Light WHipped cream special k bars (love the chocolately pretzel!)

I'm not on WW but I know light Laughing cow cheese is a good item, and i'm addicted to it!
Also check out the Shiritaki noodles, noodles made out of tofu. I got them in ShopRite recently by the produce

Re: Starting WW - key foods to have in the house?
Lately, my shopping list always has:
string cheese canadian bacon eggs oatmeal (I just found a recipe for oatmeal with peanut butter and I add a tiny bit of honey and a banana....so food and so filling!) balsamic vinagrette feta (for salads) english muffins (I need a lower point one than thomas' though) greek yogurt
-- also, I bought America's Choice Ice Cream sandwiches for my son...they are small, about 1/2 the size of one you'd get from the ice cream man....but they are only 2 pp! Sooooo...my son may have to share

Re: Starting WW - key foods to have in the house?
My #1 item to have in the house are cartons of egg whites. I eat egg whites for breakfast every morning. Sometimes plains, sometimes I throw in some veggies from the previous night's dinner. I also love to make a modified verison of my uncle's "mexi eggs" I toss in some salsa (0 points!) and low fat cheddar cheese and taco seasoning.
LOTS of Fruit. Love to just sit at my desk popping grapes in my mouth. Keeps me from raiding the fridge for anything bad.
I keep lots of fresh and frozen spinach since I use a lot of WW recipes including spinach and it's so delciious and no points.
Salsa is a great condiment because it adds a lot of flavor and usually has no points.
I wait for a sale on low fat cheeses (any brand, doesn't have to be weight watchers..in fact I prefer the others), and I stock up since they last a long time if unopened, so I always have shredded cheddar, mexican mix, mozzarella, etc on hand.

You'll need olive oil to meet guidelines as well.
