Q regarding certification

I got my masters in 2003 and so my certificates were provisional in January 2004. I fulfilled all of my requirements and was mailed my PERMANENT certificate in 2008. Someone at school asked something and now I'm panicking!

Although the certs all say PERMANENT, the dates they became permanent are 2008. Someone said that since they are after 2004, I might still need the PROFESSIONAL 175 hours.

My logic is that I had the provisional BEFORE 2004 hence it fell under the PERMANENT category and although they became permanent in 2008, it doesn't require the 175 PD hours.

Anyone know this?

Re: Q regarding certification

If you intially had a provisional certification it transitions into a permanent certification, which does not require the 175 hours.

If you intially had a initial certification it transitions into a professional certification, which does require the 175 hours.

Re: Q regarding certification

you are fine...you got in before the 2004 change - so you were grandfathered into the permanent cert.
