I really, really want to get a kitten. The problem is I have two cats and they get along so well that I'm afraid that the whole balance will be disturbed and they will not get along with the new one.

The two that I have are close in age, 5 and 4 1/2. I got the 5 year old when she was 9 months or so and the 4 1/2 year old when he was 12 weeks. I have a female and a male and I would probably get another male.

Has anyone been in a similar situation where you had two cats that got along great and you got a third one? What was the result?
