When do you stop being called Newlyweds?
Not that I'm complaining but DH and I have been married now 3 years and folks still call us "newlyweds".
I laugh at this because it's been 3 years - when do they stop calling married couples newlyweds?

Re: When do you stop being called Newlyweds?
I thought it was after a year. I don't consider myself a newlywed anymore and I'm JUST over a year. I'm an old married lady now.

Don't get me wrong I still get that newlywed feeling after three years but to me it's just odd being called a newlywed by people in general.

Re: When do you stop being called Newlyweds?
Danielle, Deb and Fred were married '08, and the answering machine is still saying, "This is Debi and Fred the newlyweds!!!!" One of Deb's friends gave her grief about it, saying they're no longer NW, so Deb kept it up!!!! Mary

Re: When do you stop being called Newlyweds?
I was just on a cruise and for the NW game, they grouped NW's into the 1 day to 5 yr range... I thought that was pretty odd... Im going on 2 yrs (technically 3) and I dont consider myself a NW anymore

I believe I have exactly 3 more days (including today) as a newlywed. Monday is our 1st anniversary.

Re: When do you stop being called Newlyweds?
We've been married about 4 months and have not been called newlyweds since a month after our wedding. I guess it's because we have a on the way people don't consider us newlyweds anymore? Plus we're together almost 6 years so it doesnt feel like we are anyway.

I have always heard 2 years.
I was going to say 2 years also because of the Newlywed Show. You couldn't be married longer then 2 years to be a contestant.
