Busing question
We want DS to go to DDI in Huntington, but we live out in Port Jeff. DDI seems to think our home district will not approve the busing because it is further than one of the four schools they suggested. Our CPSE meeting isn't for 2-weeks. Anyone have any experience with picking a school not originally mentioned by the District?
We figure he would be bused from Smithtown (my in-laws) anyway. NIS is in Yaphank. Smithtown to Yaphank is a lot further than Smithtown to Huntington.
TIA

Re: Busing question
That post just made my day. I work a few minutes away, but I teach HS so I can't drop him off. It's a great program and my brother-in-law is in the building to check up on him. Busing was the only issue.
Thank you!

Re: Busing question
the only thing I know about busing further, is that we put down family members that live about 25 minutes as the 2nd emergency drop off. The secretary said she didn't know if it would be approved, but they have not said anything to us yet.
good luck!
