Children and Pets do become best friends!!! With PIC
I had posted when Ava was just a few weeks old how hard it was for Lexi to adjust to a baby in the house. Since Lexi was spoiled and was are only baby for 4 years it was a big adjustment for all of us. In the beginning it was hard and Lexi would hide all day when the baby would cry and she would sulk when we werent paying her enough attention. Now here we are 5 months later and she is always right by my DD side.  They are best friends!!!! This is by far my favorite picture of my GIRLS!!!!

I told you it would work out in time. I actually just looked back and saw your old post where a few of us responded to you to give it time and your doggie will adjust. I am so glad for you that you hung in there and did that, for you, for your dog, for your DD, etc.    
I can tell you, it will get better and better. Some things may be hard, like when your DD starts walking. But as she gets more surefooted, things get better again. It's all about adjustment and giving things time.
Your dog will grow to love your DD more and more each day. And your DD will love your dog so much, you can't believe it. My DD loves my dogs (and any animals) so much that it melts my heart, she is so caring and sweet and I believe having pets has instilled that in her (and the way we treat them, she learns from it).
I am thrilled for you. Keep up the GREAT work. You are a wonderful person and you are your dog's momma and angel.

We still arent 100% back to how it was. I am just happy that Lexi does love our DD. She will always come over to her and lick her hands, and when our DD is on her mat ( lexi lays down right next to her).
I do still see though Lexi upset at times when I am holding Ava a lot. She will walk away and go to another room or sit under the table. It will take time but it has been alot better than before.

just an amazing picture.. i hope one day i can share a similar pic of my LO and my cat baby.. I love this pic.. it must have been so hard to watch Lexi sulk and be sad.. but this seriously speaks volumes..
