If you contribute to the end of year class gift (preschool)
Did you get another gift as well? Or a thank you card?
Our class contributes money and the class mom collected pictures and quotes and made a photo book.

I always do for my kids if the teacher went above and beyond (which I have been lucky enough to have teachers that do  )

No, I do not. But we usually collect a decent amount per child (not $2 per kid). For example DS's teacher is getting a kindle and gift card, his aide is getting a Spa Finder GC.

No, we collect a generous amount per child to there is not need to add anything to that.

Yes, I do. I usually get a gift card. Based on the poll on the Teachers Board (Thanks Cathy B for starting it!), I'll be picking them up at Target.

Yes. And I contributed a lot of $ towards the class gift as I saw what everyone else was contributing (I am class mom so I took the collection). But both my kids teachers are awesome, so we always get them a little something from me and the kids as a thank you.

No, we collected a decent amount & I had given a GC for teacher's appreciation day (not one other parent did).

Our preschool asks that you do NOT give an additional gift if you contribute to the group gift. So the parents really don't give something extra.
