Today's Recipe 7-24-06
Macadamia Nut Crusted Chilean Sea Bass
2 Chilean Sea Bass Steaks 1/2 cup of orange juice 2 tablespoons of ginger paste 2 tablespoons of honey 1 cup of flour 1/2 cup of soy sauce 2 cups of crushed macadamia nuts
Mix oj, ginger paste, honey, and soy sauce to make a marinade. Marinate bass steaks overnight. Take out of marinade (save marinade in a bowl), dip in flour. Then dip back into marinade.
Spread macadamia nuts onto plate, and coat each side of the fish until nuts stick. Leave for 20 minutes allowing macadamia nuts to form a crust.
Heat 1 cup of olive oil in a frying pan. Put fish in, and sear on each side for 5 minutes.
Remove and serve!
This is one of my absolutely FAVORITE recipes.
Enjoy!
