Has anyone done the HCG diet??
I know a girl who is doing this and she said she feels great and is down 3 lbs in 3 days!! I heard Dr. Oz talk about it once but fogot what he said. I guess you take HCG drops which stops your hunger and then you only eat like 500 calories a day..it sounds nuts. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it and what were your results??

I am curious too. It seems like the amount of weight that people lose is tremendous! I could potentially lose all of the weight I need to shed within a month.

It sounds so unhealthy. I couldn't survive on 500 calories. No one should. Not even for 6 weeks.

I'm on fitness/health & wellness boards and that is not by any means a highly regarded diet or option for weight loss. From I've read, it's a unsafe and a scam.
Have you asked your primary care physician about it?

No I haven't asked the Dr. I dont know if I am really going to try it or not. Just curious if anyone on here has done this and want to know their experience. I just keep hearing about how many people successfully have lost weight on it. It was on the Dr. Oz show not long ago but I dont remember the outcome. My friend is on it and she told me she is only doing it for 4 weeks and then your supposed slowly introduce the calories back in. It sounds crazy but she is swearing by it right now. I honestly dont understand it.

ITA and quick weight loss also usually ends up in QUICK gaining it back.

Re: Has anyone done the HCG diet??
weightloss like that is very extreme and not very healthy or sustainable. it kind of sounds like if you took the pill part out of the diet, it would just be a starvation diet...

Re: Has anyone done the HCG diet??
I have a bunch of friends and family that have done it with great success, but they all did the injections not the drops. They swear by it but it's not for me. I know 2 friends that ended it early because they were HUNGRY all the time. None have gained the weight back though, so IDK. You have to follow the protocol which is certain foods for a few weeks, then you add back in foods while eliminating carbs? I don't know the details exactly.
I looked into it briefly and opted not to do. I found it very confusing and know I couldn't do 500 cals/day for even a week. I have a lot to lose and decided the old fashioned way of diet and exercise would be my best bet. My friend gave me this site for the info http://hcgdietinfo.com/ .
