Teaching a Dog to pee and poop in one spot?

please help. My dogs crap all over the place in the yard and it bothers me to no end. how can this be done?

Im no expert but I imagine you have to accompany the dogs outside and lead them to where you want them to poop and when they go in the right spot, give them a treat?

I would imagine it may be harder to "untrain" him to just go anywhere. But, the way you train them to go in the same area is lead them by the leash. We took our lab to a puppy kindergarten class when he was a baby. She said to take him out with a leash to where we wanted him to go and wait 5 min with him, letting him roam around the length of the leash. If he doesn't go, you go back in. Follow this until he goes, praise him like crazy for going in the right spot and then he should get the hang of it after a while. My little guy only poops in the one area that we trained him to now.

walk your dog to where you want your pup to go and give your pup a treat when he goes where you want him to go. Thats how I trained my dog to go in one spot
