How often does your medium/large dog poop
Yes, a weird question, I know. Yogi is about 60 lbs and he poops like a maniac! Sometimes he goes 4-5 times in one shot when he is outside in a 10 min time period! And he'll do that 2-3 times per day. I have a small yard and the poop is taking over! I am constantly having to pick up after him every single day. Somtimes 2 times per day. Is this normal?

if my dog (pit bull) goes out she will poop at least once a walk. My past GSP pooped 3 times every time we went for a walk.

Usually twice, three times at most for Brinkley. Ginger only goes once or twice a day.
Not to be gross, but how solid is the poop? Whenever our dogs get excited about going to the park, on a walk, etc. they get "excitement poops". They can be not as solid as their usual.
Also, when we changed foods to something we felt was better for them, they started pooping a lot less. I read that this could happen because the food was "highly digestible" but I thought it was a line to get me to buy it. Turns out, they eat less of it and poop out less of it too.
How old is your dog?

How old is your dog?
Oh my male loves to do this. When we go to the park, we laugh b/c we say it's like a laxative. He makes sure to PUSH out every last bit of poops to mark his territory.  He will crap about 3 times on a walk in the park. But I have small dogs, not large.

How old is your dog?
He's 4, going to be 5 in November. I tried changing his food, but all of the foods I changed him to made him throw up. So, he gets Iams.

She goes once or twice a day, and she’s about 85lb. lab mix. She’s pretty used to her routine of in the morning before work and in the evening when we get home from work. We used to let her go out before bed but she vetoed that and doesn’t go at that time any more. She’s almost 12 though, so may make a difference. She also eats twice a day (morning and evening) and is on a more natural type of food – she used to eat Purina (before we were married) but then DH realized it wasn’t very healthy for her and now she gets Natural Choice. She also gets a probiotic added to her food in the morning and evening, which has helped her be extremely regular.
