Three Day Institute Addressing the needs of Children with Down Syndrome August 23, 24, & 25, 2011 Center for Community Inclusion at the C.W. Parents of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with Down syndrome ? Early interventionists serving children with Down syndrome (birth through age 3) and professionals serving preschoolers with Down syndrome ? General and special educators and related service personnel (including speech lan-guage pathologists) working with elementary school students with Down syndrome ? Family members of elementary aged students with Down syndrome ? College students preparing to work with children with Down syndrome including General Education and Special Education majors, Speech Language majors and Psychology majors **You can attend one or more sessions** Topics Covered Include: ? Inclusion Programming for Elementary Age Students ? Early Intervention and Preschool Programming ? Speech and Language Interventions ? Functional Assessment ? Positive Behavior Supports ? And more! From the WEST L.I. Expressway to Exit 39 (Glen Cove Rd). Go North to Northern Blvd (Route 25 A). Turn Right. Go 2 miles to LIU, CW Post Campus (Tilles Center)- West Gate. Turn right onto Post Lane. Humanities Hall is South of the large building facing Northern Boulevard in the center of campus. If you cannot find parking in the lots to your left, pass the Tilles Center and park in the South-ern lots. Then walk through Hillwood Commons. When you exit the building on the North side, HUMANITIES HALL will be straight ahead to the left. ROOM 119 From the EAST L.I. Expressway. to Exit 41N (Rt.107). Go North on 107, bear left at fork where 106 &107 split. Turn left onto North. Blvd (Rt 25A). Go 1/8th mile to 1st light and turn left into LIU. Make immediate right onto University Dr. At 2nd stop (W. Gate), turn left onto Post Lane. Humanities Hall is South of the large building facing N. Boulevard in the center of campus. If paring spots in the lots to your left, pass the Tilles Center and park in the Southern lots. Then walk through Hill-wood Commons.
