suggest a book for me!

I've read a lot of good books recently. I've been on a lucky streak. I'm close to the end of books I knew I wanted to read, and am looking for some more, whether old or new. Here are some that I've read recently that I really liked:

Night Road
Sarah's Key
The Help
The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes
Run
The Murderer's Daughters
Room

I'm reading Hunger Games now. If I like it (so far I do), I'll read the second one in the series, but I'm out of ideas after that. I have a few others in my library that I got for cheap, but none that I'm especially excited about.

Any ideas?

I read my Sister's Keeper years ago and it is one of my all time faves. I read another one--vanishing act i think--as well. i wasnt as crazy about that. I have one other Diane Chamberlain that I might read soon.

I really liked Night Road by Kristin Hannah. Some other ones on my list might be more sophisticated reads, but as a mom, I found Night Road incredible. I cried a number of times even during my commute. I told my mom she should read it, but she hasn't yet.

If you liked Night Road you'd probably like The Middle Place - Kelly Corrigan.

Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen! And then see the movie, but definitely read the book first. It doesn't work right otherwise. Chat Icon But the movie was great, too!

ETA: Also, there are 3 books in the Hunger Games series. And you definitely want to read all three, even if the third isn't nearly as good as the first two. The Uglies series is similar to the Hunger Games also, but not nearly as good.

I read Water for Elephants years ago. Loved it! I want to see the movie!

I loved Hunger Games and then read Catching Fire in 2 days. I started Mockingjay this morning :)

I'm seeing a lot about Game of Thrones. Think I'd like that if I liked Hunger Games?

I loved Game of Thrones, but I don't think it's much like Hunger Games at all. Hunger Games, while I think is more adult than not, is still young adult. Game of Thrones, with all it's sex and cursing, certainly is not YA. It's a big read though- I think 980 pages, but definitely worth it. The best way I can describe Game of Thrones is a big, old fashioned soap opera with knights and kings.
