Bikram ladies
How are you doing with class this summer?
I actually haven't been in a WEEK.
I have had an evil summer cold this past week so I've been using that as my excuse.
Last Sunday when I went there were only 3 of us there.
I was nervous at first, especially because it was hot outside, but it turned out to be a really great class.
The week before that, I took one class with 4 people, one of which was a teacher so it was total motivation to not sit out at all.
I am hoping to drag myself back into practice tomorrow morning.

Re: Bikram ladies
I have to go back - after a recent surgery, I had to stop for a bit.
I'm dreading the first class back but also looking forward to it...I know I will feel amazing after!
As far as you getting sick in summer, do you ever think it could do with the yoga studio? I realized I was getting colds more often when doing hot yoga, and maybe it was from all the moisture surrounding us, and us deeply breathing, maybe taking in more germs or something.

Re: Bikram ladies
I thought that as well, because it seems like I've had more colds this year.
I don't know though. I also have a toddler and work a crazy stressful job so odds are, it could be anything.
I was up again all last night coughing but I am really going to try to still go today, even if I need to sit out for some of the poses.

standing bow used to be my arch enemy, and now i love it! the trick that always works for me, is the higher up you reach, and the harder you kick, i find my balance improving more each time. i mean, i reach until it feels like my arm is going to come out of the socket. in doing that, i can get my leg well above my head.
as far as the colds go, YES i've had 2 this summer already! i also clean the studio i go to once a week, so i think i'm just surrounded by more germs than normal.

Class was great this morning, despite the awful weather.
"Chris" was teaching and he called me out a few times. I am glad he did though, because now I know how to do stuff the correct way!
