thoughts on follow up letter
always send one? if so, how long after? For my last job (where i was just excessed after 5 yrs) I sent a follow up letter, but that was bc i didnt hear anything for weeks (turns out they were waiting for a grant to come in)
what r your thoughts on sending them?

I just went on an interview earlier this week and sent out a thank-you card the next day.

Sure. I met with 2 people and sent each of them a thank-you.
Dear Mr./Ms. _______________,
Thank you for taking the time to provide me with the wonderful opportunity to meet you and your colleagues.
It is not the most personal thank-you card that I've sent, I was just so ecstatic that I have been given a second chance at this district and they seemed to gush over my array of certifications, that I wanted to get the thank-you card out asap and hopefully remind them how much they loved me and to call me back

It was a pleasure meeting with you and doing a demo-lesson today. Thank you for showing me around the school and introducing me to the classroom teachers. I get the sense that there is an excellent rapport between the administration, your teachers, and the students. The students are so wonderful and I could not be more happy that Ms. Sacco passed along my resume to you!
After meeting you and doing my demo-lessons, I wanted to let you know how excited I am about the art position we discussed. I believe my art experience and personal experience with kids with autism will really make me an excellent art teacher for XYSchool. I have a good deal of knowledge and lots of enthusiasm for the arts that I would love to share with the students.
I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow and am very excited about the position. If there is anything else you need or want from me, please do not hesitate to let me know.
