1st/2nd gr teachers - vocabulary
Do you integrate vocabulary some how?
I teach 1st gr and am thinking of doing a little bit of vocab, maybe something quick during morning meeting? Maybe some type if encouragment/ reward for using the word correctly during the week?
Please share how you do this.

I teach first grade and always use their vocabulary within our morning meeting. We go over the words, how to spell them, and then we go around the room and put the words in sentences.

I do this as well but I also do a curriculum word wall and put up any new vocab from other subject areas. The wall changes as we progress through units.
