I had to cover a class today for an hour and OMG, the patience you have!! Just thought I would thank you all for doing a fabulous job!

This is so funny that you posted this today. I spent all day subbing in a first grade class and good Lord! Remember I am secondary ed and have NO business being in an elementry school. The district was in a bind soooooooo I was pretty much forced. The highlights:
* I told the kids to sit "Indian style" (and was quickly told by the kids that its criss cross apple sauce.)
* No idea what all the sign language of "lips together" "need to use the bathroom" etc were
* Was asked by a six year old what my story was; are you an adult? Do you have a boyfriend? Are you married? Do you have any kids?
They were cute but I never worked so hard for my sub pay!
