Masters in Elementary Education/Online Is this possible for NY?
My close friend who works in children's book publishing is determined to go back to school for a Masters in Elementary Education. I have been taching for 13 years- and times have changed!
Is it possible to do a Masters online and be certified to teach in NY? Has anyone had experience with SUNY Empire?
How can she accomplish this in the least expensive way possible on LI? Do any SUNY school on LI have a Masters in EE? (They didn't when I got my Masters and I had to go private)
What is the least expensive private school if she cannot do this online?
Thanks very much for any help you can provide- She is looking to me for some guidance but I am having difficulty really figuring out her best options.

I don't know about the coursework, but there will at least definitely be a student teaching internship that will not be online. There are probably going to be internship or observation hours connected to some of the assignments, so I can't imagine an entire Master's in Education being able to be completed online. But who knows?!?!

Which private school is least expensive? Dowling? St. Joes? Adelphi? Post? Does Touro have elementary ed?
I saw that SUNY Empire has online programs for middle/high school but nothing for elementary ed.
Looking for some been there done that experience.
