Why am I so freakin hungry!??
All day today I've been so hungry. By the the time I get to work from the gym I'm starving! Can the health gurus look over my daily food intake and point me in the right direction?
6:30AM: oatmeal and 1 banana
7:15-8:15: workout
9:30: (by this time I was starving) 0% greek yogurt
12:00- turkey on a small low carb/whole wheat wrap
2:00- grilled chicken salad with FF vingerette
2:30- pretty hungry- 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1/2 cup strawberries
5:30: starving again..snacked on grapes (didnt really have any other options around)
Finally I got home to have dinner. (I forgot to take out the chicken to defrost so I ended up having pizza- not worried about that because we almost never order out.)
Throughout the day I've been so hungry. I really thought I was going a good job upping my protein and fiber. What can I add or change? I also want to stay within my weight watchers points which I was able to do today.

I would move the greek yogurt to within a half hour of your workout...really important to have some sort of protein after a workout...and an hour and a half is long time after that!

I would move the greek yogurt to within a half hour of your workout...really important to have some sort of protein after a workout...and an hour and a half is long time after that!
Agh Lauren I don't know what to do. The problem is I don't have time to eat right after. I have to get ready quickly and drive to work (maybe sure I get there on time and also beat the traffic). Any small, high protein snacks or something good after a workout I can eat while driving??

What about a ready to drink protein shake. Theres some good ones out there.

I like having fiber one bars with a smear of peanut butter after workouts (well, before I started my low carb diet. Oh how I miss them!)

You should def. be eating right after your workout. There was a long gap between the workout and then the yogurt. If you don't have time, is there a bar you can grab and go? You can probably make your own health bars if there are specific weight watchers recipes. My husband usually does a clif bar or a clif protein bar right after his workouts. Also, can you eat breakfast maybe 15 minutes later so that it is closer to workout time?

I would up the fat a bit - fat free yogurt and cottage cheese don't have the same staying power.

So today I ate right after I worked out. I had a cheesestick (only thing I had available that I could eat and drive with). Had my yogurt at 10:40 instead.

I am on a nutrition program and anytime I am hungry - I am told to snack on veggies - fills you up without the calories. I also agree with pp about needing a heavier snack right after the gym with protein. Maybe a piece of ww bread with pb?? you can eat that in the car. What about hard boiled eggs? can you cook them and maybe peel them ahead of time so that you just have to eat them in the car?

Make a shake the night before. One scoop protein, a little flax oil in a shaker cup and you can drink it in the car! That's an easy one!

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. It's not just after the gym its pretty much all day I'm hungry
I added in 2 cheesesticks- one right after the gym and then one later on (around 1:30). That helped. I'll see how the afternoon goes. Right now I'm having lunch: small salad with ff dressing and a turkey wrap. I teach from 10:00 straight until 2:00 so I can't eat!! I have to find little snacks to satisfy me until I can have lunch at 2.]
