Is the 2nd book the continuation of the 1st book or do they go onto a different scenerio?

The Girl Dragon Tattoo
The Girl Who Played With Fire
The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest
they all continue the same story...

I really like the first book now that I got to the middle part.

Yeah it took me at least halfway through before i became interested... I think i loved the 3rd the best... because it brought it all together... and lisbeth kicked major a$$
