Average total commissions for real estate salesperson in LI..
I was just wondering if anyone had any idea as to what the average salary for a real estate salesperson in LI was. I know it takes a few years to make a name for yourself so I'm wondering about the $$ for a full time agent who has been working for 3 years. Does anyone have any idea?

Real Estate agents do not make a salary, they get paid commission.

I know they get paid 100% via commissions and not an hourly or yearly salary. I shouldn't have called it a salary. Instead I should ask what the "average annual compensation AFTER expenses such as advertising, supplies and desk fees" is for a RE agent in LI.

I feel very blessed- all my dreams are coming true
I am living proof hardwork and risk can pay off even in a "down" market
it wasn't easy to get here- but it was worth it!
