UPDATED week 1: Starting the Biggest Loser Contest at work Monday.
New twist. Weigh in is every Friday. We pay $25 to start. They randomly assign us a partner. If we dont lose weight from one week to the next we must pay $1 more. If we gain weight from one week to the next you pay $1 for every lb that you gain.
Last year I lost 24 lbs in 12 weeks and we won $750 and divided it by 3. then over te last couple months I gained it all back!!
Hopefully I will do well again and somehow learn to keep it off. Its so hard b/c Im addicted to carbs, fast food, diet soda etc.
Food really is my addiction!

Good luck!!! Cutting out fast food and soda with definitely be a big help. Will you be getting in any exercise?

Yes, I will be going back to the gym on Monday :) I usually do 13 miles on the bike, a half hour on the treadmill and then sometimes once around the circuit if I still have energy.

I love the twist! We did a Biggest Loser Contest as well....twice. The first time I lost 28 lbs and ended up losing the contest by .25 percent, which worked out to be 1 lb. Grrr! The second time (by then I had gained some weight back) I lost about 15 lbs and won. And now here we are about 1.5 years later and I have gained it all back. I hope you do better than I did with keeping the weight off!!

I guess the real key is to get a maintenance plan in order before the contest is over.
Maybe you can do an update post weekly. I'd love to hear how you are doing.

I have found the best way to do maintenance is to act like you are on a diet during the week, and indulge on the weekends. Then it sort of evens out and you stay around the same weight.

Week #1 - Lost 3.5 lbs Didnt get to the gym last week at all due to DHs work schedule, however I decided to just eat a little healthier. Something I can live with.
Instead of 3 pieces of pizza I stopped at 2, instead of getting to whopper juniors and cheese and onion rings, I didnt get the rings, at taco bell I didnt add the sour cream like normal. I am drinking more water and trying to eat more soup, salads and whole wheat instead of white etc etc.
nothing major. Im not craving anything b/c Im not keeping it from myself, just eating less or making healthier choices. Well see if it works again next week LOL
