How many days of school...
has your child missed so far this year...today will be #3 
I hate that she has been sick all year so far

Emily has missed 2 days and they were when my Dad passed away. Fortunately she has been sick once this year and we were lucky that it was on the weekend so I brought her to the DR on Saturday morning, got her antibiotics, and she was well enough for school by Monday.
Normally she misses several days in the fall. It's a hard time of the year for her with her asthma.

My 3rd grader has missed 3 days due to illness and my 1st grader missed one day.

Knock on wood, my kids hardly ever have sick days. My DS is in second grade, and he's only been absent twice since starting Kindergarten!

But my dad just bought tickets to take her to Radio City Music Hall in a few weeks on a Tuesday 
so she'll either be absent or leaving early that day...

I just feel horrible that I have to keep her home...between vomiting and fevers, I have to, I just wish everyone else in her class kept their kids home when they were sick

None. He was sent home early once for a fall.
He's bound to miss a few days though. He gets bronchitis frequently in the winter months due to his asthma. That keeps him out for a day or two at a time.

My son just missed two days this past week. He had a fever and I would not send him until he was fever free for 24 hours.
