All the talk...
...about what to do in order to get pregnant is just so much. I know people that drank coffee, ate whatever they want, drank alchohol, etc. before they TTC'd and had no problem getting pregnant. They didnt even think about what they were eating etc. while trying to have a child. It just happened for them.
So here here to eating anything u want if its gonna happen it will happen. Just dont forget to take the vitamins.

Re: All the talk...
I agree with most of that statement.....except for using some products and eating some foods.
My dermatologist said to stop taking my "zit" pills and to stop using Proactiv..
And I will stop eating sushi as soon as I finish my last pack of pills (well, the raw tuna variety )
I couldn't live with myself if something went wrong.....

Re: All the talk...
Everyone's different -- some people are big planners and like to get themselves all together before TTC, some people like to wait until their BFP before changing habits. Personally, I think you can wait until your BFP to give up certain foods, get blood tests, etc -- 9 months is long enough without your favorite foods and drinks! But if you are taking medications (Retin-A for example) that are known to cause defects I would stop those before TTC.

hmmm, my doctor said it was FINE to keep using my proactive because the active ingredient is Benzoyl Peroxide which he said was fine...it is so wierd how different doctors have different opinions on everything. I am still using my Proactive

Oh god I hope I can keep using it if I get pregnant - my face breaks out sooooo badly without it - it's a lifesaver for me!

Re: All the talk...
I hear you... it's hard to keep up with all of the advice. I've been taking folic acid, but otherwise, I haven't changed my diet or habits much. I feel guilty if I have more than one drink when I'm out at night, though...

Re: All the talk...
We BD on day 10 and every other day there after. Counting days is pretty typical - thats how my mother did it and shes a senior citizen now. It worked for her 5 times so there is no reason , right now to think it wont work for me.
I took one OPK just to see how it works but that is the extent of the "effort " we are putting into TTC right now. I simply cannot treat conception as how I perceive it as a science experiment. It would add another dimension of drama to my routine that I am not ready for.
My prenatals have all the folic acid I need.
I sincerely doubt that the 16 oz cup of coffee I have every work day will make my unborn child hyperactive in the 2 week wait from the time we BD. Half of it is cream anyway.

Interesting, because my dermatologist told me not to use that or anything else with benzoyl peroxide. Hmmmm. (I guess everyone IS different!)
