Exciting news
My Matthew is 7, ASD, non-verbal until last night- NO prompting said the words-
"I LUV U DA"
I am just so over the moon. It proves to me that it's in there and somehow someway we will make it come out.
Had to share. For all those that are waiting for there child to speak remember all things are possible. It will come, it took 7 long years for us to here a sentence. Yes there have been random words here and there but this was real, this was from his heart, this was my Matty telling his Daddy that he loves him

It just goes to show you how much is stored in those brains and sometimes it takes 'raw' emotion to bring it out.

That is fantastic news! You gave me such hope for my DD (she has Down Syndrome).
I know it's going to be a while before we hear her form words (she's 2.5 now), but, we are positive it WILL happen! THANK YOU for posting and sharing!
