How was everyone's Christmas/Hanukkah/Festivus?

We had a quiet one.

Christmas Eve was spent at my cousin's house, just a few family members. It was low-key and fun. My cousin's daughter is almost 4, so this year was her first year where she was REALLY grasping the idea of Santa Claus. We had her on the phone with the NORAD tracking people, we baked Santa's cookies (courtesy of Pillsbury easy bake cookies LOL).

Christmas was also low-key...DH and I spent it at home; his brother stopped by and we watched a movie together, then I cooked up a big dinner and a friend stopped by for that. Movies, food, wine, and PRESENTS! I walked away from Christmas with a full belly, a wine buzz, some giftcards, a great, unique piece of jewelry that DH picked out, an immersion blender (also courtesy of DH) and a box of macarons from Laduree (thanks to my boss).

So, how did everyone else fare?

It was good. Was getting used to drinking every night though. I wasn't happy last night when I realized no drinkie drinkie because work in the morning.

Ah, they're always next weekend.

It was nice, but exhausting. I spent a lot of time baking, still have some more to do for New Year's.

Eve was my family at my sister's house, and Day (actually a Hanumas celebration)with close friends and their family.

It was so peaceful and relaxing! Ate waaaay too much. Discovered some great wines. Talked and laughed with DH. We didn't get a chance to be with our families but it was still a great Christmas. Plus my sister is coming for NYE!! Which means food, wine, crafts and running!!
