If you had a mc/ D&C what did they test you for?
When I had a D&C they told me that the tissue was going to be sent out to see what the reason was, but they did worn me that sometimes it doesn't show anything even if there was something, when I went for a 2 weeks follow up my dr told me they didn't have enough tissue so they couldn't find anything.
But then I keep reading how some women are getting tested for progesterone and this and that during D&C , so I'm curious , what did they test you for? Did they send you results or did the dr call you ?
Somehow I feel like I didn't get satisfactory answers from my OB. (I had a different OB than the one I have now)

I didnt have any testing for myself (blood)
when I went in for my D&C or at my follow
up. I did have mc tissue tested though.
If this was your first mc dr dont really test
for anything (thats what I read and was
told). Im over 35 & my Dr suggested having
tissue tested.

They werent able to successfully test mine either. Ive never heard of getting tested for anything else during a d&c
Usually progesterone testing is done at 7DPO and then usually when a beta is done.

I didn't have anything tested. My doctor said it wasn't really necessary for a first mc.

The tissue was tested. We were able to find out that the baby had an extra chromosome. No testing was done on anything else.

Only the tissue was tested- results showed that it didn't develop bc of a chomosomal abnormality.

same here...
they tested the tissue and it came back with a severe chromosomal defect, where the baby wouldn't have been compatible with life.
they didn't test anything else DURING the d&c process... at my follow-up visit, they did bloodwork just to check my hcg and make sure it went down on it's own.
my progesterone they only followed between my getting pregnant and putting me on supplements bc i had severe fluctuations in it. the doctor said that some women miscarry DUE to low progesterone, but for some (like me) they miscarry for a different reason - and issues with progesterone are an indicator that something is off.
