If that person sees that doctor on a regular I don't see a reason for them not to do it for her. Or she can go to local health center and ask for one to be done

I never had to take a blood test it was mostly based on the hpt. But the dr would see me until I was atleast 5 weeks based on the missed period. then would draw all this blood, have you pee on a stick and maybe do a sono, but not always. hope that helps.

Thanks! I will make her call the Dr. ASAP and ask for one! She is young & needs to know positively even though the HPT was positive.

I hope if the office says she has to wait and she says she is young & panicky they will see see her tomorrow!!!

I am sure once she explains her situation, they will be sure to fit her in. If not clinics def will.

Clinics like Planned Parenthood usually let you walk in.

Good idea on the clinic or planned parenthood! I am not thinking straight either & should have thought of that!

Most wait to see you until you are about 7 weeks unless you have a health reason that requires you to be seen sooner. But if she got a positive HPT than I would say that she's pregnant. A blood test would just confirm levels of hormones but I don't think they would make a decision on that until much further along.

Getting blood work for her would be more of a confirmation that the HPT is right. She has been on BC but did miss 2 days during the last few weeks. So it's more of a panic thing for her right now to be sure the HPT is right and not giving false positives!! I am sure it is not.

AF isn't even due until next Tuesday. What made her test I am not even sure. But when the phone call came tonight I was in shock & can't think straightChat Icon

I just don't know what to tell herChat Icon

Yeah, they'll measure the HCG levels and the Progesterone levels.
