Retro fitness or Planet fitness?
My choices are Retro fitness in East Meadow or Planet Fitness in Levittown.
Money is key.
I don't need classes.
Will use for treadmills and weight training once in a while.
I DON'T like dingy places (like Lucille Roberts in Plainview). It was cheap but I hated it.
I need to be able to cancel anytime although.

planet fitness is cheaper, no? and I believe you can bring someone along with you, free of charge.

I go to Retro in Farmingdale and it is always clean and never super crowded.

I've heard horror stories of trying to cancel Retro Fitness memberships...and the $20/mo is only for a year contract, at least at the one by me.
That being said Retro is really new so the gyms are going to be clean and the equipment should be brand new which is always nice. Just don't drink their shakes - they're all sugar.
