ETA:" Has anyone used Pet First Healthcare? It is what is on the petfinder.com website has listed and they are quoting me a good rate."
If you have pet insurance do you find that it is worth it or would you just suggest saving the money you would spend on insurance in a separate account for your puppy?
My parents had insurance and it cost them 40 something a month and when they put the claims through they always spent more on the insurance than they received back.
If you have insurance have you got a decent amount back from your claims? If so which company do you use? If you wouldn't mind I am curious how much the monthly cost would be.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Insurance
I use trupanion. You choose how much you pay a month based on the deductible you choose. A lower deductible costs more per month. They reimburse you 90% of all vet costs for illness or injury. They do not offer a plan for routine visits or vaccinations. I have a $200 deductible and pay $33/month. Like any insurance plan it always seems worth the cost when you need it. I signed up after a huge vet bill b/c my dog was limping. The cost of the vet visits, blood work and medication was more than a year of insurance plus deductible.
