Re: weight watchers info
I just joined in January. I like going to the meetings, you get some good info and it's good to hear what other people are saying. I pay a monthly fee, which allows access to their e-tools (keeping track, recipes, etc).
On WW, you can eat anything you want, seriously! Everything has a point value which you'll get info on) and you are allotted a certain # of points each day (I have 26). You also get 49 extra points to use throughout the week.
I printed a ton of recipes from their website and so far have not been disappointed with any of them! The recipes I had at home, I entered them into the e-tools and it calculated what the points would be.
Hope this was helpful.

Re: weight watchers info
I started WW in the middle of January and am down 10lbs. My DS is going to 18 months and like you I was tired of the extra weight I put on since giving birth.
The reason it started working for me (I attempted the program several times last year and dropped out when I didn't see fast results) is because I am sticking to what I know (as far as point values), adding lots of fruits and veggies into ALL my meals and TRACKING everything!
I attend the meetings - the idea of having to get weighed in makes me pick the right choices through out the week. Plus, like the pp stated I get a lot tips and tricks from other members.
If I could make time for a gym routine I could lose a lot more faster, but right now my schedule is really tight. Once I get into a routine (I'm hoping next month I can rearrange a few things) the weight will come off faster).
Good Luck!!!

Re: weight watchers info
I go to the meetings as well. I use E-tools and track everything. Tracking and Measuring are key!
WW site has good recipes as well as Skinnytaste.
Good Luck!

Re: weight watchers info
I lost (and kept off) 60 lbs thanks to weight watchers! There are two different programs on WW: one that includes counting and tracking, another that includes eating specified foods until you are satisfied. They give you suggestions on what to eat and help guide you towards healthier choices. It's a very liveable plan.

Re: weight watchers info
I joined last week and lost 1.6 in the first week..not a ton of weight but it is a start. I don't feel deprived bc you can eat on WW, so it is really a lifestyle. I have the last 10 pounds before I am back to my pre pregnancy weight so I am really motivated to get it done. I find weighing in in person keeps me accountable. Good luck

Re: weight watchers info
I started 1/1/2012 and am very happy using it. I have consistently lost 1-3 lbs per week, typically towards the lower end of that. I do not go to any meetings but instead I do everything online. I love that I am losing weight and not starving, but it is so much work in my opinion. I am planning on doing this long term, slow weight loss cause I have a lot to do. It has gotten easier because some things I just know how many points they are worth, but in the beginning I was breathing weight watchers every minute.
