Restaurants not too far from Selden
Dropping off the kids in Selden and looking for a good restaurant to go to on Friday. No more than 20 minutes away preferred. Meeting another couple for drinks/dinner Thanks!

I heard good things about the new place Studio grille. Its in Independence Plaza in Selden (corner of 25 and Boyle Road). there is also the sushi place in that shopping center as well. There is Restaurant Blue in Blue Point (which will hit your 20 minute mark).

Cafe Amici is very good as well. Nishiki is the sushi place. It is very good.

I'll be the minority here I guess and say I would never eat at Cafe Amici - DH & I both think their food is terrible!! Pizza included.
Nishiki is awesome for sushi - love their yummy roll.
Viva Juan has pretty good Mexican/Spanish food
If you're willing to drive 10-15 minutes go down to Port Jeff and you'll have tons of options - 5th Season, Z-Pita, The Pie etc.
ETA: Don't forget it's Friday during Lent too so any pizzeria will be packed!
