a wonderful feeling...
as some of you know, last july, i found a litter of kittens in my parents yard. Their mom was a neighborhood stray/feral that a neighbor fed. I rescued the kittens and their mom, found homes for 2 kittens, and took in the mom and other 2 kittens.
the mom was really frightened for quite awhile. she even ran away once in the beginning, and i had to set up a method to trap her, and got her back the day before thanksgiving. not long after that, she started coming around. well, she has become one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats. right now, for the first time, i am working on the couch while the rest of my fam sleeps, and mama cat just hopped up next to me for some rubs and is keeping me company.
she is genuinely happy here, and so are her babies (especially the boy! he's a mush!) it is a really wonderful feeling knowing these cats are having a good life, when they may not have even had a chance at life.
just wanted to share, cause i have a silly smile on my face with my kitty next to me. I've been waiting for this!

Thank you! I've always been the girl who brings home neighborhood strays, but it was always dogs before this. This is my first experience with cats, and I'm really enjoying it

I am really happy to read this story!!! You are a wonderful person.. That mama cat is so blessed.. Its so rare to hear a story like this .. They usually live 4-5 years out there in the streets.. Did you spay her ? I hope so because if she gets away again you may have a problem with more kitties.. They are not so easy to find homes for sometimes..

Awwww that's wonderful! Especially for a feral cat to come around like that. You really need to earn their affection.

Thank you everyone!!
And yes, mama and all the kittens (including the 2 who went to other homes) were all spayed/neutered.
