Run for Your Lives!!!!!
Dh and I did this race in Massachusetts over the weekend and it was awesome!!
Its a 5k with obstacles...and oh yeah, zombies chasing you the whole time lol
They give you a flag football belt with 3 flags and the zombies try to grab them off of you. The course was so muddy so you had to walk a lot of it. One of the obstacles you went into this wooden house which was totally dark and they fog it out so you can't see anything. Plus they're are thin wires hanging every few feet and if you touched it, it shocked you! We were only in there for about 30 seconds but it was crazy.
The biggest obstacle at the end was really intense. You had to slide down this big black tarp down the side of the mountain and then it launches you into a huge muddy pool of water! I've never traveled down a slide at that speed in my life and you hit the water so hard! I wasn't expecting that lol. Overall it was a lot of fun...and dh's first race ever! He loved it!
If anyone does it in another city, I recommend getting in the earlier waves. We did the 9:00am wave and didn't have to wait on any lines (packet pick up, bag drop). But by the time we left the lines were so long!

I can't believe you did it! Were the zombies scary? The obstacles sound fun but I don't like zombies chasing me (real or fake) it would give me too much anxiety.

Some of the zombies were scary, especially when they were hiding behind trees and come running out at you! But since you're always with a lot of people, it was more fun than anything else. Once my last flag was taken and I didn't have to really avoid the zombies anymore, I was messing with them and running right at them lol. It was a lot of fun!

Just watched the video on you tube and it looks awesome! Hope they bring it to ny one day! Congrats on finishing - looks tough.

I was totally cracking up at points! One girl stopped and asked a zombie how much further we had to go and he was like "Ummm, I have no idea"...and then he started yelling "Maps here, get ya maps here".

I wasn't expecting that at all! I think the scariest part is that you don't slow down at all and you feel like you're out of control lol and then you just hit the water at that speed. I can't wait until they post the pro pics...I must look terrified lol
