IS there a date that lives in infamy for you-on a personal level?
of course there is Sept 11 and stuff...but personally.
Sept 4th is the day DH almost died in a car accident. HE was hit by an 18 wheeler in a Ford Focus and somehow an angel was on his shoulder and he walked away from it without major injury. HE did end up having surgery a few years later....
HE absolutely HATES this day and even broke up with me while we were dating around this time because of all the memories it brought back. (The girl he THOUGHT he wanted to marry had left him-he went to see some friends in PA and gets hit on his way home).
Then his B-day is Sept 7th (the ex called him that year) and THEN Sept 11th.
HE always withdraws into himself for a few days and I wish there was something I could do to make it go away

June 19th - the day I lost my brother and my 2 cousins in a car accident....
I do the same thing your DH does....it's how I deal.... I just retreat for a few days...

July 8th - my Dad passed away in a car accident. He was 46. He was hit by an Irish army truck that sould not have been on the road.

december 20, my first boyfriend who was only 19 years old died in a plane crash in Colombia. it was the hardest time and most sad moment in my life.
but I know that he is my guardian angel.

November 25 when my mom shut off the respirator and I lost my daddy.

August 25th, 1999
Its the day I fell 17 feet off of a scaffolding. I had to of had an angel on my shoulder because I somehow landed on my feet. Although I broke both ankles and both heels, I wasnt hurt anywhere else. The doctors were amazed I was alive from the fall. They said I should have either broken my back or broken my neck and paralyzed myself or died.
Im still having reconstructive surgeries on my right foot, and will continue to for a while. It was only 2 1/2 weeks past my 21st bday when it happened. I even have a permit handicapped sticker for my car because I lost some movement in my right foot. I always get nasty looks fro the little old man and ladies when I park in the handicapped spots!

July 8th-The day my grandfather died. He died of natural causes but it was the first time that someone close to me died and we were very close

June 3rd...the day my daughter died...Im usually hard to approach or speak to around that time, just my way of dealing, and then I move on...

March 24th, 1999. When my Aunt suddenly died due to a misdiagnosis. Had they diagnosed her correctly when she first went in 3 days earlier, she would probably been here today

June 5th- in '01, it was the day my mom got her kidney trasplant,
and in '04, it was the day that my grandmother died
