Dude, I think nearly everyone is reading it! I'm probably one of like 8 people who hasn't and will never read it.

Re: 50 Shades of Grey
I find it horrible
I just can't get into it, and I don't find it overly sexy either. Seems like pretty tame stuff...

same here-i am trying to read it and it is so...i don't know...cheesy??? maybe that's not the word. i hate the way it's written or something-it's contrived and just irritates me. i find both characters so annoying..it must be me since these books are on fire

Re: 50 Shades of Grey
I read the 1st one so far. I think it's quick easy reading and pretty entertaining IMO. Is it a Great Expectations or a Harry Potter? Not even close. But, at least for me, it provided me with a little excitement and inspiration.

Re: 50 Shades of Grey
I never really get into the "hype", but I felt the need to read this book for some reason. I should also note, I never read books, I just don't have the time.
I have to say it is pretty entertaining, but that is coming from someone who never reads books lol

Re: 50 Shades of Grey
Not me!
On the other hand, I too don't have much time to read and started on the Hunger Games when the movie came out and loved it!
I'm on the 2nd book now, and the 3rd just came in from the library. I need to just make the time to read them over the weekend or something.

Re: 50 Shades of Grey
I just read the first one. I'm ambivalent about it. The writing is terrible and the characters are annoying. The BDSM stuff kind of scares me, but I'm intrigued now by the backstory and what's behind it. I wasn't necessarily planning to read the 2nd one, but then they left the first as a cliffhanger, so i might.

I did like the 2nd and 3rd one more than the first, so I was glad I hung in there and got to find out about Christian so I was glad in that regard.

Make that 9. No desire. I don't buy into hype. Ever.
