if you read the book- who do you envision playing the parts of Christian and Ana in the movie?

I"m not really sure who could pull of Christian.
I could see Matt Boomer from White Collar, but not sure if he is brooding enough.
Ian Somerhalder from Vampire Diaries is another one I can picture or Ryan Gosling
I like Emmy Rossum for Anastasia. She seems vulnerable enough as early Ana but she seems like she could pull off a little more of the sexy side later.

I picture Olivia Wilde as Ana. I've always pictured Colin Egglesfield as Christian. Ugh those eyes alone..... 
I really want to picture Matt Bomer but, I'm having a hard time envisioning him because he's gay in real life. So it wouldn't be too convincing for me. 
I also picture Emma stone as Kate, & Wilmer Valderrama as José

Take a look at the storyboard. Theres a whole post there on this topic and alot of us girls posted pics. but my picks have to be Henry Cavil for christain, and amanda seyfied for ana, but she has to dye her hair first.

DEFINITELY Henry Cavill for Christian. I'm actually maybe on board with Emma Stone.. but I think when all is said I'd rather see a relative unknown or pure unknown. Maybe Victoria Justice?

And for Ana my pick is Alexis Bledel, she's young enough to play Ana and fits the description!

Colin Egglesfield, Bradley Cooper or Ryan Reynolds would be my Christian. I also thought Mila Kunis or Rachel Bilson for Ana until I saw Victoria Justice in an above post.
I don't know why but I think of Gary Sinise as Taylor (I have a weird, inexplicable crush on him).
I quite enjoyed the books, but I don't know if I'd see the movies - might ruin my mental images.

OK so I had never heard of him before but after reading this and googling some pics, I agree with everyone who said Henry Cavill. HOT. My original thoughts were Paul Walker, Ryan Reynolds or Ryan Gosling. Not sure about girls yet.

I read someone mention Paul Walker as Christian in a blog and have pictured him since then. I just don't see Ryan Gosling as a good Christian.
Never thought about who could play Ana but Victoria Justice looks very appropriate!

I think my issue is that a lot of the actors in question for Grey are handsome.. but not 'sexy'. Like they don't have that dark, broody, raw sexuality. I don't do 'cute' or 'boyish' and Christian Grey does not come off as being EITHER of those things in the book.
As to Ana... she's a fresh scrubbed virgin college student who loves books and is totally unaware of her appeal. A lot of the actresses are just too old or seem too used to suit that. That 'knowing' look that so many of them have just knocks them right out of the running in my mind.
Not that it matters.. they will likely screw up the casting of this one just like they did with Twilight.

The minute I read Christian's description in the first book - I envisioned Paul Walker. So he would be perfect in my eyes for the role.
I'm not sure about the Ana - I love Emma Roberts but I'm just not sure I can picture her in that role.
I don't know who Victoria Justice is but from the picture another poster posted she looks like a good Ana.

This Article on EW.com suggests Felicity Jones for Ana. I don't think I've ever seen her act, but I think she has the look (but wrong color eyes)
Totally disagree with their choice for Christian- he looks like a 15 yr old kid in most pictures. The one they use isn't bad- but I still don't see it

Jorge Alberti for Jose ( I googled Hispanic Actors and this guy fit the bill lol)
I like Zac Efron for Christian looks wise- but he's wayyy too teeny bopper to fit the bill.
