Is my worrying normal or overparanoid?
I just got my first ever BFP on Tuesday, went for bloodwork and dr confirmed it. But I need to go back for bloodwork again monday to make sure my #s are progressing.
I just feel like all I ever wanted was to see a BFP, since I've never been pregnant before, and now that I finally got it I have just basically spent every single day worrying that it won't last instead of enjoying the happy news
I know I should try to be as optimistic as I can, but I'm so worried that something bad will happen Idk how to get myself out of this funk. I was even contemplating seeing a therapist bc I hate feeling like this every day.
Do you girls have any advice on how to worry less?

Re: Is my worrying normal or overparanoid?
In my experience, the the only thing you can do is distract yourself and focus on other things. I felt nervous for every one off pregnancies after my first. Since my first one ended partway through the 2nd trimester, I always felt like I was walking on eggshells with my pregnancies, worrying they wouldn't end well. Trust me, no amount of worrying will alter the outcome... You just have to have lots of hope and unrelated plans to occupy yourself with. Good luck!

Re: Is my worrying normal or overparanoid?
my only advice i can give is this
i worry every day..i cannot lie..we have been through so much
but i do not let it control my day..
i promised myself a long time ago before we started ivf and after a loss
when we get our bfp and it seems like this will be the one to stick i am going to enjoy it..will i still worry yea prob, but we have come too far
we cannot control what happens..i want to enjoy every aspect including the ms lol bc that means i am still pregnant
IF took so much from me for so long,i REFUSE to let it take this away from me
now after saying that if it really bad talking with someone will def help,it should not be occupying all day every day
feel better

Worrying is very normal. I was extra worried after each beta but after I would see the baby on the sonogram (and esp after hearing the hb it got a lot better). Just try not to think of the negative and enjoy the positive- it does get better!!

Re: Is my worrying normal or overparanoid?
Thank you ladies, you are all right. I need to keep telling myself that whether I worry or not it won't change the outcome of what will happen so there's no point in making myself sick over it. I have always been an anxious person to begin with my whole life, so I think part of my problem is that I'm over thinking everything.
I will def feel better once I have my next blood test and get to see my baby's heartbeat. My blood test is tomorrow, then I have to wait another day for the results. Ugh hope it goes quick for me. Thanks again, hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Re: Is my worrying normal or overparanoid?
Worrying it totally normal. You will worry a little less with each milestone but will still worry. Then once they are born you will worry about new things. All normal.

Totally true... I babysit for Flowerbaby and occasionally check to make sure she's breathing while she sleeps

Re: Is my worrying normal or overparanoid?
Thank you for your kind words and advice.
I have decided to see a therapist to talk to about my anxieties and how to cope with them. Hopefully I will be able to worry less and enjoy this happy time.
