Met's looking in to a quite section to meet Autism needs
Hi Mommies: Just saw this on FB and thought I would share. I thought if more people expressed an interest to the Mets they might push for it!
Met's thinking about a "quiet" area focused on those with Autism.

Re: Met's looking in to a quite section to meet Autism needs
I think the thought behind it is great...I really don't know if it would actually make that much of a difference. It would take so much more I think to get my DS comfortable at a stadium. All the people around him just entering the stadium itself. Having people practically sitting on top of you when you actually make it to your seats. I don't know, just not sure how much difference that would really make but who knows. Having the section completely gated closed would be huge to me, just in case I turn my head and he runs.

Oh I know there are lots of obstacles besides seating, just thought I would share. At least someone is thinking about overcoming some of the issues. I work with MR/DD adults that's why I came across it.
