Grocery stores in/around Franklin Square/West Hempstead area
I've been using Peapod foreverrr, but idk...I kinda want to go back to the old fashioned way of shopping...at least for the summer when I have more free time during the day.
Where do you go in or around Franklin Square/West Hempstead? Where do you feel like you get the best bang for your buck? I know there's Pathmark on Franklin Ave. and Stop & Shop on the turnpike in West Hempstead. Any opinions on which one is better?

To me it seems like the Pathmark is always packed so I don't like to go there. I do like the Stop n Shop in WH. I also like the Key Food on Covert in Floral Park.

I shopped at S&S in west Hempstead for 6yrs. It's clean, has a nice selection and always enjoyed going there better than any other store in that area

I love Stop & Shop - it's always clean and they have a great selection. For fruits and vegetables though, I usually go to Cross Island fruit - I find that they have way better prices.

Reluctantly I go to the Pathmark. Every now and then I go to the S&S.
There's a King Kullen in VS on Merrick Road. Best Yet is supposed to be going into the old Waldbaums in Lynbrook.
There's not much else in the area, which sucks.

I go to Best Yet in Franklin Square/North Valley Stream on Dogwood Avenue.

Oh right! Duh. Thanks.
BY is so small, I hate that store more than Pathmark.
