Black Dagger Brotherhood series
Worth it or not? I am looking for a new series to read but I don't have the option to borrow from the library on my Nook, so I'd be purchasing all the books.
TIA!
ETA: I was wrong, I CAN borrow the books from the library! I'd still like opinions on the series though

I enjoyed the series a lot. The writing isn't phenomenal...but the characters are interesting and there are so many books....it'll keep you occupied for a while!

Do you like vampires and sex? If so, YES! I have to say that when I started reading Nora Roberts, I thought I was reading such sexy scenes but BDB makes her scenes seem like fairy tales.  I think BDB is what spoiled the shock factor of 50 shades.  But I would definitely try the first 2 BDB books. If you dont love the series after the first two, its not for you but I think you'll be hooked.

Black Dagger Brotherhood series
Love this series! Each book concentrates on a different character so you get their whole story. It's a quick, fun and indulgent read.

Is it just me or is the First book of this series hard to get into?
I think its the author's description of the main character - Wrath that throws me off - long hair on guys does absolutely NOTHING for me.
I have a vision of Fabio rolled into Dog the Bounty hunter   - this doesn't ooze "lead male romance character" in my eyes.
No author should ever have their main male character wearing leather pants and a mesh shirt

I'll admit, I love this series, but I had the same issue as you when I first picked it up. I actually would laugh at the description, but kept on with it and fell in love.
I love the series too and always recommend it to others who like this kind of book but I ALWAYS stress the fact that you should read books 1 AND 2 and then decide on the series.

I think I'm the only person in the world who did not care for this series. I read the first 3 and couldn't get into it. I love a well-written sex scene and this was just "eh" for me.
