2nd sono today & question/concern
So turns out the spotting I'm having is from a sub chronic hematoma. Dr kind of scared me & now I'm paranoid that I'm going to miscarry He did say it was common but def dangerous & needs to be monitored. Anyone have any experience with this? Why is everything so complicated with me?

Re: 2nd sono today & question/concern
I had two that I found out about at 8 weeks due to some bleeding. They were both very small, got bigger then smaller and eventually absorbed back into the placenta. I was sooo nervous but did a ton of research like a crazy person that reassured me for the most part. I made sure to stick to complete pelvic rest (no sex, orgasim, lifting, exercise ect). I also layed around a lot in my first tri and when the clots were biggest and really tried to take it easy. Hang in there, I know they are unsettling but they absolutely do not mean mc. Also, the earlier they occur the more likely they are to go away. Try not to worry too much and congratulations:)

Re: 2nd sono today & question/concern
I had bleeding at 7.5 weeks from placenta previa and they said it was due to a SCH caused by the previa. It went away as did the previa. You will be fine as long as they watch it.
Are you on lovenox?

Thank you! Guess I'll be doing a lot of lounging around. I just hope it absorbs itself soon! And it's prob a good idea to stop googling

Re: 2nd sono today & question/concern
I have A TON of experience with this, unfortunately.
The usual scenario for a SCH is that they cause lots of scary bleeding, in some case clots... but often they do not cause a loss. In my case, (twice) that was not the case, even though I was on a boatload of lovenox. I was told to take precautions (which I did) and stayed off my feet until the bleeding stopped. Make sure you take it easy, no exercising, no heavy lifting... and if the bleeding is more significant than some spotting I would stay off my feet for sure.
In MOST cases, these things just cause a lot of panic.
ETA: I just scrolled up and saw you are on lovenox and aspirin. When I had an active bleed, I was told both times to STOP the baby aspirin because it encourages the bleeding. Check with your doctor about this!! This is what I was told from both Dr.B and Dr.Kofinas.

So far it's only been brown blood, no cramps. Weird that RE didn't tell me to stop taking baby aspirin. I'll call & check again. It's such a scary thing esp bc he said it can go either way

To be fair, me and like one other person are the only two people I know of who had a loss from a SCH ... and I know PLENTY of people who have had them, so the odds are definitely in your favor!
What's really important is how big it is and how close it is to the baby.

Dr wants me to go in for another beta on Thursday.. Maybe after that they will move around my meds. I'm currently on 40mg lovenox.

I am on 40 twice a day. Dr. B said he did not like the blood flow before my transfer, so he increased it right after that. I would maybe question it? Sorry you are worrying about this...it just sux.

EXACTLY THIS! I had full blown bleeding (like a period for a whole week)...I did the above and after about 1.5 weeks it was reabsorbed and my DS will be 2 in 2 weeks :) You'll be fine...dont worry...
