Hmmm could you maybe add veggie sliders for the non-meat eaters?

I think maybe you could put snacks out around 3:15/3:30, but you could have the main meal a little bit later. Of course, it depends upon the crowd. I know with my family/friends, I could never start a party at 3 and serve the main course at 3:30 because more than half of them are always ridiculously late. Do you think they'll all be there and settled by 3:30?

I think the menu sounds AMAZING!! (and the activities). In fact, I'm so jealous I wish I was going to be there!!

But I agree a bit about the timeline.

I feel like some kids might show up late, plus maybe some of them will have eaten late lunches. If they ate at 1, will they be hungry for dinner at 3:30? Maybe from 3 to 3:30 you put out some snacks and then from 3:30-5:30 you do the lake/swimming/kayaking (better to do that earlier in the day anyway, I would assume) and then feed them the dinner menu you posted at 5:30. Then continue with the karaoke and photo booth. The rest of the night sounded great!! I'd be so excited over the smores station. =0)

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not sure I know how to make a veggie slider, but I like that idea so I'll figure it out

as for the timeline, the kids are all arriving at the same time because we live about 60 miles from SD's mom and school district so we are providing transportation both ways.

I think you might be right though, maybe I should serve the food later but I was feeling like they will be so full they won't be ready for dessert and smores.

As far as making the veggie sliders, maybe you could just buy some veggie burgers, cook them, and then cut them into fours to put onto the sliders?

I feel like teenagers are always hungry, so I think you'd be fine if you served the food a bit later lol

I think your food looks great. I would switch the lake/swimming/kayaking to first and put the food out after. Who really likes to go swimming on such a full stomach! Maybe have some chips and dip and stuff like that out when they get there and for them to snack on while kayaking.

that all sounds amazing!! the only other thing, is that will they want to do the photo booth after swimming? could you maybe adjust things a little?

Yup, I agree with the other ladies about starting the food later, even if you just put out some chips and dips to start.
Veggie sliders should be easy to make too if you cut up veggie burgers.
Last poster brought up a good point about the photo booth. Maybe have that set up for when they arrive.
Have fun! Sounds like it's going to be a great party!

Totally agree with the PP's - photobooth as soon as they arrive. Teenage girls are not going to appreciate having their picture taken after swimming.

Food - don't think you can go wrong because at that age I think they are hungry 24/7.

I would be more than happy to chaperone if you are looking for volunteers Chat Icon
