6lbs...3 weeks...how would you achieve it?

I need to lost 6lbs in 3 weeks - absolutely have to...no excuses.

I am a pretty clean eater and I exercise 5 days a week but only for 30 mins - I have two kids, work full time etc so this is as much free time that I have.

I have managed to lose 9lbs in about 9 weeks so its slow and steady but I really need to move it up and get rid of these 6 pounds...and the scales have not moved in over two weeks.

For exercise I have been riding my bike for 30 mins - 5.5 miles. i LOVE this but should I mix it up with walking on the treadmill? Its either 5.5 miles on the bike or jog / power walk on the treadmill for 2 miles in 30 minutes.

Any ideas / plans etc?

Thanks so much.Chat Icon

The only carbs I eat are veg and fruit with a veggie burger or black bean burger 2-3 nights a week for dinner. Do you think this small amount of carbs could be a problem?

Change up what you eat. If I ever had a specific weight goal in mind and wanted to see quick results, I would change around 75% of what I was eating. Still eat healthy , of course, but just different. It always seems to kickstart weight loss for me.

Maybe try a juice fast or raw cleanse? I've lost 4.5 lbs in about a week doing this. (I would only do it with a doc or nutritionist supervision though.)

eat the fruit in the morning.

how many times a day are you eating? I'd aim for 5 small meals vs 3 bigger ones.

you could also try shocking your metabolism with one cheat meal a week.

I'd lose 2 pounds per week, lol!

No seriously, eat the fruit in the morning. Avoid anythign processed such as the veggie burgers. Try to follow a 90 % raw diet for the next three weeks. I would bet that you lose way more than 6 if you remain strict to a raw lifestyle!

I agree...just be careful if you start having stomach upset on the raw diet. My stomach can't handle 100% raw so I supplement. 1/3 raw and the rest cooked. Avoid grains and gluten. You should be down to a fighting weight in no timeChat Icon

3500*6=2100/21=1000 Calories/day to eliminate in your diet or burn.

Which would be 6-7 miles...but you have to be careful to not eat more running that much.

i would maybe try the 30 day shred by Jillian michaels. you supposedly lose 20lbs in 30 days with her dietand the work out is only about 25 minutes.

I do WW and this DVD ( ihave been slacking the past few weeks) and i have lost over 30lbs in about 15 weeks or so .

The DVD may help you loose more.
